- It covers civil marriages and civil partnerships on approved premises in England and Wales. Scotland and Northern Ireland license the celebrant rather than the building, so they have no equivalent list.
- It does not include churches or other religious buildings, which are registered separately, and it barely covers register offices themselves.

- A lapsed record is not a refusal. Roughly a third of entries show a past expiry date, including venues that plainly still hold weddings — it usually means a renewal has not been recorded centrally. Confirm with the venue or the council.
- We do not collect reviews, ratings or photographs ourselves. The Google Maps link on each venue opens a search for that venue on Google, where you can see its own photos and what people have said about it.
